Hello fellow riders! Thank you for coming to my website, Inside Helmet. In here, we will let you read about motorcycle blog and review, and also about the riders who have the in-hand experience with their motorcycle. Let us start from me.
My name is Arvy, and I was born in Jakarta on August 13, 1990. I have been riding motorcycle since I was 16 (high school) and have been loving to ride continuously. The first motorcycle that I own was 2007 Yamaha Jupiter Z. It was the first riding experience that I have ever enjoyed in my life. It’s not fully manual transmission, so it was an easy ride as a beginner.
3 years later, I entered university and changed to my second bike.
2009 Suzuki Satria FU 150 with DOHC, 4-valve, 150cc engine. A quite upgrade from casual Jupiter Z to a semi-sport Satria FU. I have to say that this bike is unique. It looks small, but the power is surprising. The top speed that I have ever reach was 130kmph, and this made me an arrogant rider. It took me 2 serious accidents to actually make me realize that I was riding carelessly. I learned from my mistakes, I got injuries, my bike was repaired several times, and 3 years later I had the feeling that I had to change my bike. For a bigger one.
2011 Honda CBR250R that I have been dreaming about. I have always love Honda Sports Bike, and I thought that Honda CBR250R would be a perfect beginner bike for me. Why not Kawasaki Ninja 250R? I had some considerations before choosing one of them. Both of them are amazing, and it took me some times to think about it. But then again, i can’t have both can I? I had to choose CBR250R because of its ergonomic position which allows me to sit more comfortably in the streets of Jakarta. You know how awful streets of Jakarta is, and I do not think that I can handle Ninja’s ergonomic position as a beginner. CBR250R also was the first to come with fuel-injection before Ninja 250R, so I guess I chose it back in 2011 because of the technology as well. Lastly, why I choose CBR250R. Simply because I love Honda and especially CBR series. *Note that this is my personal preference*
My experience with this bike? Flawless, I love it. Eventhough that it only has single-cylinder unlike Ninja, it is still satisfying and economical for a university student like me. The handling fits the street’s condition (traffic jam and ‘holes’), soft suspension, and comfortable riding position. It is truly a beginner bike for me, match for my riding style. I have been riding this bike for almost 2 years now and it’s been the best bike that I ever had in my life.
That is my experience riding 3 different motorcycles since 2007. I still have so much to learn about motorcycle, and starting this website is the way that I can learn more about it from different sources. I hope you enjoy reading my articles, and I will see you in the next post! Enjoy and Ride Safely!
